Dijon Développement has been asked by the Dijon Urban District to play a leading role within the project team set up to respond to the “Competitive Cluster”call for tenders. The VITAGORA Taste-Nutrition-Health Pole has been auditioned by the Ministries of Health and Agriculture, and by OSEO Anvar (the French agency for innovation). This unique alliance of Taste, Nutrition and Health has been brilliantly forged by Thomas Derville, former Chairman of Amora-Maille and former Vice Senior President of Unilever Bestfood. The colloquium was held in the Dijon-Bourgogne Exhibition Centre on 8 March 2005. As part of its strategy to foster the development of the industrial application of advanced technologies linked to Materials, in particular reinforced polymers, Dijon Développement organised this first “Natural Fibre Reinforced Polymers” colloquium in conjunction with AFT Plasturgie, a company producing natural fibre reinforced compounds and composites, notably hemp. The Colloquium attracted over 110 delegates and aroused much enthusuasm among principals, subcontractors and R&D managers.
1 and 2 February 2005 "The New Supply Chain Challenges": the European dimension, stretched costs, traceability, risks, partnerships. All these subjects were extensively discussed in the course of lectures, round-table discussions and on-site visits. As part of its promotion and economic development strategy, Dijon Développement has transformed the Dijon Logistics Pole (the largest logistics centre in Burgundy with a capacity of 500,000 sq. m and over 40 companies providing specialised services and skills) into an extremely attractive asset with great potential for development. 1er et 02 février 2005
